Miss Murphy’s High Street Inn is a restored boutique bed and breakfast in Galena, Illinois, located just steps from the historic downtown district. Formerly known as Miss Murphy’s Bed and Breakfast, the inn entered a new chapter in 2025 under new ownership while continuing the experience that returning guests know well.

FROM OUR GUESTBOOK

My wife and I stayed at Miss Murphy's for two nights for an anniversary getaway. It was such a nice place to stay with convenient parking and a short walk down hill to all that downtown Galena has to offer. The place was well run and had well appointed guest rooms. The hosts (Brian and David) were charming and made a wonderful breakfast each morning that we enjoyed eating while chatting with the other guests. The outdoor garden was nice too (too bad it wasn't summer!). We will highly recommend this to others and would return here again.

Such a wonderful place to stay in Galena! The home is beautiful and David & Brian were the best. My mom and I absolutely loved the breakfasts. We want to try making lemon ricotta pancakes now at home - they were so delicious! Our room, The Cottage, was even greater than we expected and at night we sat in the gazebo in the backyard and read our books. It was such a peaceful place and the location was very convenient as well. I would most definitely stay here again - thank you David & Brian!
