Yes. Downtown Galena’s shops, restaurants, galleries and historic Main Street are within easy walking distance of High Street Inn. The walk into town is downhill and the return to the Inn is uphill.

High Street Inn is about a five-minute  walk from Galena’s Main Street. The return walk is uphill, which is worth keeping in mind for guests with mobility concerns. Complimentary on-site parking is available at the Inn, so many guests park when they arrive and explore downtown on foot.

You will want a car to reach many attractions outside central Galena, but you generally do not need one to explore downtown once you arrive at High Street Inn. Main Street is about a five-minute walk away, and complimentary on-site parking is included with your stay.

The Ulysses S. Grant Home is about a 20 minute walk or three minute drive from the Inn. It is only one of the historic attractions guests can visit while staying at High Street Inn.
